Born in the Garden State, Meg Hetfield graduated cum laude from Syracuse University in Industrial Design. Always a traveler and disappointed that history did not play out to be "Lewis, Clark, and Hetfield," her solution is to travel and record the wonder of it all.

Meg combines her love of travel, adventure, color, and culture into her imagery. Great photos have inspired her to travel to the ends of the earth, so she hopes that some of her photographs will inspire you.

Photographs in the "Altered Images" gallery and some of the "New England" gallery have been manipulated for different effects. Some images are digitally altered into a painterly fleeting memory (inspired by the paintings of Christopher Brown). Other images are reminiscent of silk-screened poster prints, with abbreviated color fields and absence of detail. More experimental work to come!
